Revenue Cycle Director directs and oversees the overall policies, objectives, and initiatives of an organization's revenue cycle activities to optimize the patient financial interaction along the care continuum. Reviews, designs, and implements processes surrounding admissions, pricing, billing, third party payer relationships, compliance, collections, and other financial analyses to ensure that clinical revenue cycle is effective and properly utilized. Being a Revenue Cycle Director tracks numerous metrics related to the patient engagement cycle including record coding error rates and billing turnaround times to develop sound revenue cycle analysis and reporting. Manages relations with payers and providers to generate high reimbursement rates and a low level of denials. Additionally, Revenue Cycle Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Revenue Cycle Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Revenue Cycle Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     Job Summary: The Revenue Cycle Director is responsible for revenue maximization for all assigned receivables, develops and maintains any reports regarding accounts receivables, establishes and maintains reporting and departmental policies and procedures to ensure quality and effectiveness of work completed.  Supervises Billing personnel and conveys information regarding performance to employees in a positive, constructive manner and ensures effective work habits.  Assists in the establishment and implementation of annual operating and capital budget and departmental goals.

    Responsibilities include focusing on oversight and supervision of the A/R unit, individual performance, corporate expectations/standards, along with any other duties that may be assigned.

    Minimum Requirements:
    Education:
    • High School Diploma or GED with multi-year experience in program management

    Prior Experience:
    • Minimum of two (5) years of health care related experience business experience. Preferably with working knowledge of specialty programs (e.g., CHDP, BCEDP, Medi-Cal).
    • Extensive experience with Healthport and Dentrix
    • FQHC ( Federally  Qualified Health Center) experience preferred

    Skills:
    • Bilingual (English-Spanish) preferred
    • Knowledge of Core Camarena computer applications (e.g., Healthport, Cerner, Dentrix, etc.)
    • Knowledge of data processing methods and procedures; relating to Healthport.
    • Knowledge of equipment and software characteristics of various computer systems and a general understanding of system features and their integration capabilities.
    • History and proven record of effective program/project management
    • Attention to detail and excellent follow-through on work tasks
