Revenue Cycle Director directs and oversees the overall policies, objectives, and initiatives of an organization's revenue cycle activities to optimize the patient financial interaction along the care continuum. Reviews, designs, and implements processes surrounding admissions, pricing, billing, third party payer relationships, compliance, collections, and other financial analyses to ensure that clinical revenue cycle is effective and properly utilized. Being a Revenue Cycle Director tracks numerous metrics related to the patient engagement cycle including record coding error rates and billing turnaround times to develop sound revenue cycle analysis and reporting. Manages relations with payers and providers to generate high reimbursement rates and a low level of denials. Additionally, Revenue Cycle Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Revenue Cycle Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Revenue Cycle Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     POSITION SUMMARY:
    The primary function of the Field Revenue Cycle Specialist is to help manage the customarily recognized Business Offices of the communities, particularly with regard to staff members of the Business Offices of the communities. The Field Revenue Cycle Specialist supports and develops the Business Office staff of the communities to ensure the timely and accurate Revenue Cycle Process. This position will require travel.

    The Field Revenue Cycle Specialist works in conjunction with and supports the Revenue Cycle Department.

    Qualifications/Responsibilities:
    • Answer and respond to all inquiries by communities and management teams of communities in a timely manner.
    • Assist management teams of the communities in the management and direction of the Business Office Manager.
    • Consults with and advises Administrators of communities and Divisional Directors with respect to interviewing, training, directing, appraising, planning the work of, as well as determining the techniques of employees in the Business Office of the communities, including the Business Office Manager.
    • Perform routine and periodic Business Office audits as directed.
    • Complete and/or attend all training and education as assigned and as otherwise required by the company, management, applicable law, rule, and/or regulations.
    • Perform other related duties as directed by Senior Revenue Cycle Specialist, Divisional Director of Revenue Cycle, and Director of Revenue Cycle.
    • Maintain confidential information. Be trusted to keep all confidential payroll data safe and secure.
    • Support the communities with all revenue cycle inquiries including knowledge and awareness of Revenue Cycle.
    Experience:
    • Must possess knowledge of state Medicaid eligibility requirements, from the application through the appeal process.
    • Have two (2) or more years of Long-Term Care experience as it relates to Revenue Cycle.
    • Previous management experience preferred.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel; experience with Matrix preferred.
