Rigger facilitates the movement and positioning of heavy equipment, materials and cargo. Sets up rigging, slings, pulleys, winches, dollies and ropes to safely maneuver loads. Being a Rigger coordinates moving activities with others using hand or other signals. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Additionally, Rigger may be required to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty. Requires 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. We work with candidates across the country to connect them with stage rigging, lighting technician, audio/visual technician, project management, sales manager roles, and several others.

    Our client is in the theatrical construction industry and is currently looking to fill the rigging installer role.

    Must have theatrical experience or worked live events in the rental and production space. Looking for a strong candidate to provide leadership across all aspects of sales, operations, and management. This role is responsible for the efficiency of its operations and the profitability of the location. The ideal candidate will ensure brand standard operating procedures and policies.

    Ideal Candidate:

    · Lead installation and fabrication of stage rigging equipment, installation of lighting and distribution, curtains, tracks, winches etc.

    · Facilitate and act as team leader when communicating and coordination with other trades while on job sites.

    · Ensure that all trucks are stocked adequately with hardware and miscellaneous items.

    · Effectively drive process improvements (material handling, operational efficiency, labor hours, goal setting, job completion, etc.)

    Minimum Qualifications:

    · Must have live events and/or rental and productions experience.

    · Must be ETCP Rigger Certified, OSHA 30-Hour Certified, and obtain an ETC commissioning certificate within 6 months of employment.

    · Must be able to manage and run the onsite installation crew at facilities all over covered region. Must be able to work nights and weekends when required.
