Being a Right of Way Agent handles all land related legal issues, including transfers of titles and deeds, construction, mortgage concerns, and zoning. Prepares resolutions and other legal forms related to land acquisitions. Additionally, Right of Way Agent may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Right of Way Agent contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Work is generally independent and collaborative in nature.     Right of Way Laborer 

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

    • Will maintain the cleanliness of City designated areas 
    • Will be responsible for landscaping and manual collection of bulky items and debris within the ROW program designated areas
    • May perform weed-abating duties, such as using weed eaters, mowers, blowers, rakes, shovels, etc to clean and clear curb lines, alleys, and fields.
    • Will exit and enter truck on a continuous basis 
    • Must maintain cleanliness of vehicle at all times.
    • Must maintain, store, and properly use equipment at all times
    • Must adhere to safety guidelines 
    • Will assist with road call clean-ups.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

    • Must have a minimum of 1 year experience working in a safety-sensitive environment.

    PHYSICAL:

    • Ability to make sound judgments.
    • Ability to stand continuously during assigned shift and lift, push, and pull up to 75 lbs.
    • Ability to stand, bend, squat, and kneel.
    • Able to perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials.

    WORKING CONDITIONS:

    • Will be exposed to outdoor weather conditions (heat, rain, wind, snow, fog).
    • Will be exposed to changing road conditions and closures.   
    • Will be exposed to moderate noise and dust levels.
