Risk Analyst evaluates the vulnerability of an organization's assets to determine the potential risk factors. Performs statistical analysis to quantify risk and forecast probable outcomes. Being a Risk Analyst prepares reports and presents findings to assist management with decision-making while offering solutions to minimize or eliminate risks. Monitors internal and external risk factors including economic, market, and regulatory risks to continuously maintain maximum protection of an organization's assets. Additionally, Risk Analyst supports managers in risk management or risk model construction. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Risk Analyst work is closely managed.     TASKS:

    • The contractor shall work closely with the agency and propose a framework for the agency risk assessments, including a discussion of roles and responsibilities.
    • The contractor shall subsequently advise the agency on implementation of the framework and suggest process quality and improvements, including assessing the results produced and identifying opportunities to improve.
    • The contractor shall support and advise the agency to consider and integrate an incremental approach towards using data analytics to inform risk assessments in partnership with cognizant OIG elements to support the OIG’s incurred cost audits, grant and financial assistance fraud, and other high value risk assessments.
    • The contractor shall work closely with the agency and OIG stakeholders to deliver a framework of input towards OIG risk assessments, including a discussion of roles and responsibilities.
    • The contractor shall subsequently advise the agency on implementation of the framework and suggest process quality and improvements, including assessing the results produced and identifying opportunities to improve.
    QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a relevant field of study
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in developing, implementing, and/or overseeing organizational risk assessment processes in the Federal Government space.
    • Should have demonstrated knowledge of Federal risk assessment and risk management requirements, with a particular focus on cybersecurity, data analytics, and data management
    • should have a demonstrated ability to develop complex risk assessments that can be used to drive oversight efforts such as audit, inspections, and investigations.
    • should also have a demonstrated ability to assess organizational risks as part of change management, including risks associated with implementing new information systems.
