Risk Management Analyst #7883 (Effective 2024-2025 SCHOOL YEAR)
SUMMARY
Provides professional Risk Management services to District sites and departments. Analyzes and makes recommendations to change or improve District practices related to risk management. Coordinates centralized risk management activities and processes. Researches and resolves issues related to risk management. Provides worker’s compensation support to employee and TUSD departments before, during and after an employee injury.Documents claims occurrence, monitors claims status, and provides periodical reports to management.Communicates with injured workers by providing compassionate and caring guidance during the claim process.Knowledge and application of district employee agreements, TUSD policies and procedures. Investigates and documents specific claim elements.Collaborates with workers’ compensation vendor, attorneys and adjustors to evaluate, investigate and resolve claims. Collects, analyzes and summarizes insurance claims to identify district trends and prevent fraud. Develop training to increase accident and injury awareness. Maintains all pertinent industrial accident injury and illness files and general records management. Process all documents and reports required by management, claims administrators, Industrial Commission of Arizona, and OSHA in accordance with established procedures.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s Degree in Risk Management or Insurance, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field.
OR
Five years progressive experience in analysis of complex data and project management
One year of complex business management or program management experience that includes oversight and business protocol development and management of a team.
Experience identifying, compiling and presenting data to detect trends and exposure within complex business systems or large department.
Verbal & written communication skills in English and a demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
Experience creating, developing, scheduling and conducting complex training for staff.
Excellent customer service skills.
Knowledge and ability to use word processing, database and spreadsheet programs.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AFTER HIRE
FBI fingerprint background check.
Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.
Valid Arizona Driver’s license
