Responsible for the Risk Management (RM) and Loss Prevention (LP) programs from an operational perspective. Accountable for the leadership, planning, innovation, governance and management necessary to identify, evaluate, and monitor the company’s financial risk. This Leader collaborates with the SMG members and UHS corporate personnel in risk management and overseeing risk management activities of the organization to provide and maintain safe, high quality patient services. Promotes collaborative relationships among the medical staff, volunteers, the community and other departments within the system. Serves as the facility Risk Manager and has a broad responsibility to protect the hospital’s assets from loss and is the onsite lead HIPAA Officer, Corporate Compliance Officer and Patient Safety Officer. The structure and functions of the Risk Management Program are designed to comply with guidelines and standards of JCAHO, AHCA, other regulatory agencies and the UHS T.E.R.M. Program.
