Risk Management Director - Healthcare develops and administers risk management programs. Creates and modifies policies to comply with safety legislation, JCAHO, HIPAA, and industry practices. Being a Risk Management Director - Healthcare coordinates and develops hospital-wide programs for quality patient care and risk-free services. Acts as the liaison to attorneys, insurance companies, and individuals. Additionally, Risk Management Director - Healthcare investigates any incidences that may result in an asset loss. Oversees insurance designed to protect the health system from loss. Collects information related to the claims and lawsuits made against the health system. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Risk Management Director - Healthcare typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.     THE POSITION:
     
    STACK is looking for a Director of Risk Management to implement risk management methodology & risk management tools, providing supporting guidance to stakeholders to ensure requirements are understood, applied and used consistently.
     
    This cross-functional role requires effective communication and collaboration with company leadership, finance, project managers and the safety and construction teams. The Director of Risk will report to the Treasurer. This role initially is an individual contributor role, but may evolve to manage a team as STACK grows.
     
    • Define risk management framework (policy, strategy, plan), establish risk management process, and organize risk management resources with leadership support.
    •  
    • Supporting the Owner-Controlled Insurance Program (OCIP) and Builder’s Risk Program, as well as supporting claims and managing Insurance administrators as necessary.
    • Working directly with construction and financing teams to align timing and placement of coverage for new projects
    • Directing the purchase and annual renewal of the insurance programs, such as general liability property and executive lines.
    • Manage third party relationships with service providers such as brokers, insurers, financing counterparties, and TPA’s.
    • Preparing loss analysis and budgets.
    • Ability to perform contract reviews and communicate/negotiate terms with business units and clients
    • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal capabilities
    • Ability to work in a high-demand, rapid-paced environment, managing several open items concurrently and reprioritizing based on business unit needs
    • Advising on insurable and uninsurable risks to project teams and business unit leaders
    • Ability to evaluate prequalification of high-risk subcontractors and create appropriate risk mitigation plans
    • Ability to create and deliver training on insurance coverage and process
    • Ability to function as an integral part of a team, highly collaborative
    • Ability to coordinate and manage efforts involving individuals from different geographic areas as well as external partners
    • Ability to understand issues quickly and follow through to resolution
    • Excellent customer service skills
    • Strong problem solving, planning, and organizational skills-including multi-tasking
    • Proficiency in MS Outlook, Office, Excel and other critical RMIS software is essential
     
    THE DETAILS:
    • Location: Denver, CO - in office 4 days per week
    • Travel: Minimal
    • Compensation: $170,000 – $190,000 bonus
    • Must be eligible to work in the United States
    • Must pass a comprehensive background screening
     
    MUST-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
    • Minimum of 7-10 years’ experience in marketing related field, CRIS a plus
    • Experience in the real estate and/or data center industry
    • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and other critical RMIS software
