    Position Description

    Overview
    The Senior Manager, Risk Adjustment Practice Education and Performance Improvement reports to the Vice President of Quality and Risk Adjustment with accountability for providing strategy, judgment, organization, and evidenced-based analysis to influence decisions, and directly to meet CINQCARE requirements. They will develop and render large scale as well as practice specific education. And using data they will develop, document, execute the interventions for and track the completion of practice performance improvement plans. They will utilize software, data and other tools provided by CINQCARE to do so. They teach other practice facing staff how to do the same. They should embody CINQCARE’s core values, including, Trusted, Empathetic, Committed, Humble, Creative and Community-Minded. At CINQCARE, we don’t have patients or customers – we have Family Members.
    Job Responsibilities
    The Senior Manager, Risk Adjustment Practice Education and Performance Improvement will have the following responsibilities:
    • Using knowledge and experience related to clinical document and coding for Medicare and Medicaid Risk Adjustment methodologies, develops large scale as well as provider specific education.
    • Interprets data from reports and software provided by CINQCARE, identifies network wide and practice specific risk adjustment improvement opportunities.
    • Presents reports and said opportunities to practices and develops and documents improvement plans.
    • Teaches other Provider facing staff (ie Practice Transformation Facilitators) to do the same.
    • Assists in tracking practice improvement intervention execution and overall performance improvement plans completion.
    • Evaluates the effectiveness of Performance Improvement Plan completion and improvement in accuracy of risk adjustment scores.

    General Duties
    The Senior Manager, Risk Adjustment Practice Education and Performance Improvement will have the following duties:
    • Leadership: The Senior Manager, Risk Adjustment Practice Education and Performance Improvement will lead in defining and executing strategies and solutions to create business value in Risk Adjustment Education and Performance Improvement, including building a team to design, develop, and execute those strategies and solutions to deliver desired outcomes.
     
    • Strategy: The Senior Manager, Risk Adjustment Practice Education and Performance Improvement will establish the business strategy and roadmap: (1) improve outcomes for CINQCARE Family Members; (2) enhance the efficacy of other CINQCARE. business divisions; and (3) develop and deliver external market opportunities for CINQCARE products and services. In establishing the business strategy, the Senior Manager, Risk Adjustment Practice Education and Performance Improvement will define and innovate sustainable revenue models to drive profitability of the Company.
    • Collaboration: The Senior Manager, Risk Adjustment Practice Education and Performance Improvement will ensure that capabilities form a cohesive offering, including by working closely with other business divisions to learn their needs, internalize their knowledge, and define solutions to achieve the business objectives of CINQCARE. They will develop, document, track and manage to fruition education and prioritize practice improvement plans.
    • Knowledge: The Senior Manager, Risk Adjustment Practice Education and Performance Improvement will provide subject matter expertise in solutions, including determining and recommended approaches, solution deployment and performance evaluation. They will train other practice facing staff how to present risk adjustment related tools, techniques, and reports to practice staff. 
    • Culture: The Senior Manager, Risk Adjustment Practice Education and Performance Improvement is accountable for creating a productive, collaborative, safe and inclusive work environment for the team and as part of the larger Company.
    Qualifications
    The Senior Manager, Risk Adjustment Practice Education and Performance Improvement should have the following qualifications:
    • Education: Bachelor’s degree with a record of strong academic achievement. Master’s preferred. Risk Adjustment related Coding certification;
    • Experience: Minimum of 3 years related experience in a managed care or health care delivery setting;
    • Entrepreneurial: CINQCARE seeks to fix gaps that have persisted for generations in the delivery of care to Black and Brown populations. This position is accountable for ensuring CINQCARE is positioned to innovatively deliver on its promise.
    • Communication: Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills; ability to clearly articulate and present concepts and models in an accessible manner to CINQCARE’s team, investors, partners, and other stakeholders. Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.
     
    • Relationships: Ability to build and effectively manage relationships with business leaders and external constituents; and,
    • Culture: Good judgement, impeccable ethics, and a strong team player; desire to succeed and grow in a fast-paced, demanding, and entrepreneurial Company.
    Location: Buffalo, NY 
    Compensation: $140,700 - $158, 2000 annually
