    Job Responsibilities:

    • Safety Leadership
      • Provide leadership and direction for driving a safety culture and environment that encompasses cultural values and is prioritized throughout the company.
      • Lead a culture of safety awareness, continuous improvement, and accountability throughout the organization.
      • Facilitate the professional development of our safety leaders and their departments and raise the effectiveness of safety performance of individual branches.
      • Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to safety professionals in the organization.
      • Set performance expectations and KPIs for the safety team and regularly assess their performance against these objectives.
      • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and regularly evaluate safety performance and trends, making data-driven improvements.
      • Develop and implement long-term strategies to prevent losses to people and property.
      • Represent the organization as a liaison with internal and external interested parties and government agencies (OSHA, DOT, FMCSA, etc.)
      • Other duties as assigned.
    • Regulatory Compliance
      • Stay current with all safety regulations and industry standards, ensuring that the company remains in compliance.
      • Develop and maintain relationships with relevant regulatory agencies and bodies.
      • Curate, implement, and oversee safety training programs for employees at all levels.
    • Safety Mitigation:
      • Identify and assess potential safety-related risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
      • Develop and manage the safety budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
      • Collaborate with HR and the Training Manager to integrate training programs into the onboarding process for new hires.
    • Budget and Reporting
      • Develop and manage the safety budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
      • Provide regular reports to senior leadership on safety performance, KPI’s and recommendations for improvements.
    • Fleet Management
      • Oversee and optimize the management and maintenance of the company’s fleet, including trucks, vehicles, and equipment.

      • Identify and assess potential safety and fleet-related risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
      • Develop and manage the safety and fleet budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in a related field; Master's degree preferred.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in safety management
    • Strong knowledge of safety regulations and compliance, as well as industry best practices.
    • Experience in the construction or distribution industry is a plus.
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
    • Proven ability to develop and implement successful safety programs.
    • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) designation is preferred.
    • Travel up to 25% of the time.
