Risk Manager manages and administers an organization's risk-management programs. Implements policies, procedures, and controls to monitor and minimize the risk exposure of assets. Being a Risk Manager researches internal and external risk factors including economic, market, and regulatory risks that may affect the organization. Routinely evaluates the effectiveness of procedures and collaborates with internal stakeholders to monitor changes in the business environment. Additionally, Risk Manager manages statistical analysis and designing of financial models to predict the risk exposure of an organization's assets. Reviews risk analysis reports to ensure risks are identified and managed effectively. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Risk Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Risk Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required. Qualifications
•
Must possess a current NYS RN License and registration
•
Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS/BSW) from a four-year college or university with a major in nursing with a minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience
•
minimum of four (4) years' experience and/or training in assessing, and providing health care related services to the geriatric population in a health care, home care or residential facility and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
•
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•
MS Office Required

Responsibilities

This role will work closely with the multidisciplinary team members to ensure consistent, timely and appropriate levels of services are provided to our residents

This role will report to the Director of Nursing and will join the QPI team to support the facility’s leadership and staff with risk management throughout the organization
