Risk Modeling Manager oversees the strategic business analysis modeling activities involved in an organization's credit risk management function. Develops and evaluates systems associated with controlling credit risk. Being a Risk Modeling Manager determines strategies and policies that maximize profits and asset growth, and minimize credit and operating losses and other risk exposure. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Risk Modeling Manager typically reports to top management. The Risk Modeling Manager manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Risk Modeling Manager typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. We are looking for a Risk Manager to support the Integrated Fires Mission Command (IFMC) Project Office in the oversight of their Risk, Issue, and Opportunity Management (RIOM) program.

    Your day-to-day work will include:

    • Lead the team in the identification/mitigation of risks to cost, schedule, and/or performance; identification/resolution of realized risks (i.e., issues), which may involve coordination with senior military leadership (O-5 and above); and identification/exploitation of opportunities offering potential future benefits to cost, schedule, and/or performance.
    • Leading/supporting RIOM forums, to include Risk Working Groups (RWGs) and Risk Management Boards (RMBs)
    • Updating the RIOM Plan, as needed
    • Preparing/presenting risk briefings, reports, and documents required for program reviews.
    • Maintaining the IFMC Active Risk Manager (ARM) database

    At a minimum, you should have:

    • Must be a US Citizen and a resident of the Huntsville, AL area or be willing to relocate to the Huntsville, AL area.
    • A bachelor’s degree (preferably in engineering, science, mathematics, or related field)
    • 7 or more years of Risk Management experience
    • Self-starter and comfortable in a fast-paced working environment
    • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
    • Must be able to acquire or possess (as well as maintain) a US SECRET security clearance.

    You will be highly desirable if you have:

    • Experience with Agile software development methodology
    • Experience with Active Risk Manager (ARM) tool by Riskonnect (formerly Sword)
    • Experience with Air and Missile Defense (AMD) systems/programs

    Estimated Pay: $80,000-$110,000
