Job Summary:
Commercial Insurance Account Managers are responsible for client servicing, retention and marketing. The Account Manager serves as the direct link between the insurance agency and the existing client, managing day-to-day affairs and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Further, the Account Manager is responsible for the monitoring of all aspects of the insurance client, which include marketing, coverage, daily service requests, addition & deletion of insurable equipment/autos and certificates of insurance. The representative is required to answer customer’s calls and correspondence regarding the insurance company’s products and questions. The questions may involve new policies, cost or existing customer policies. The critical role of the Account Manager is to see that the customer’s problems/needs or questions are resolved satisfactorily and efficiently. The Account Manager is required to review all customer’s insurance policies to make sure appropriate coverage has been purchased, that no gaps in coverage exist, that all schedules for auto & equipment are included, and that all questions regarding coverage, subcontractor coverage, certificates, equipment & auto changes, project specific insurance policies (i.e railroad protectives, OCP’s and Pollution) are addressed. Any claims questions should be directed to the Claims Department with Management included in the notification.
