Risk Modeling Manager oversees the strategic business analysis modeling activities involved in an organization's credit risk management function. Develops and evaluates systems associated with controlling credit risk. Being a Risk Modeling Manager determines strategies and policies that maximize profits and asset growth, and minimize credit and operating losses and other risk exposure. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Risk Modeling Manager typically reports to top management. The Risk Modeling Manager manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Risk Modeling Manager typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     • Position Summary
      • Under the direction of the Regional Director, Risk Management and Patient Safety, the Manager, Risk Management and Patient Safety, has primary responsibility for the management and oversight of operations, staff and data management of Patient Safety and Risk Management personnel and associated activities. This individual is responsible for effectively coordinating PSRM operations with those of Risk Management, Patient Safety, Regulatory and Accreditation, Patient Care Services, and Human Resources. 

    • Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
      • Education: Bachelor's degree in a clinical field required; Master’s degree preferred.
      • License/Certifications: Licensed in clinical field. RN preferred.
      • Experience: Minimum five years of experience required, with two years of healthcare Risk
      • Management experience preferred, preferably working with inter-professional teams in addressing organization-wide problems. Additionally, three to five years of progressively more responsible management experience in a healthcare setting, risk management or patient safety.
      • A high level of analytical ability to analyze various patient-related incidents and medical records, investigate and follow up such incidents, and to determine trends that require mitigation
      • Experience in systems thinking and application of quality management principles
      • Commitment to providing a positive service experience.
      • Strong knowledge of healthcare systems, with previous experience in healthcare industry and customer service
      • Excellence in verbal and written communication skills, including presenting in front of large and small groups
      • Strong software and computer skills, including Microsoft Office (including Power Point, Access, and Excel), database development and website development
      • Ability to work both independently and to collaborate with all levels of clinical and management staff
      • Analytical ability to gather and interpret data in situation where the problems are moderately complex
      • Strong Critical Thinking Skills with the ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail
      • A comprehensive knowledge of performance improvement activities and patient care standards as well as investigational and recordkeeping skills.
