Develops and evaluates systems associated with controlling credit risk. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Risk Modeling Manager typically reports to top management. The Risk Modeling Manager manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function.     JOB SUMMARY
    The Risk Manager is responsible for developing and implementing risk management strategies to mitigate and address identified risks within the organization. This role involves collaborating with insurance brokers, overseeing claims management, ensuring compliance with insurance policies and industry regulations, and integrating safety protocols into training programs. This position will work and communicate with people from a broad range of socio-economic backgrounds.

    PRINCIPAL ROLE AND RESPONSIBILTIES
    Insurance Management
    • Collaborate with insurance brokers to manage property insurance needs, ensuring adequate coverage and cost-effectiveness.
    • Oversee claims management for various lines of insurance, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
    • Guarantee adherence to insurance policies and champion the organization's interests in insurance-related affairs.
    • Generate annual reports summarizing overall risk management performance, insurance utilization, and cost-effectiveness.
    Risk Management
    • Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate and address identified risks, including assessing potential liabilities and implementing preventive measures.
    • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal policies related to training, property insurance, and claims handling.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate risk management practices into the overall organizational strategy.
    Safety and Compliance
    • Collaborate with safety professionals to integrate safety protocols into training programs.
    • Conduct regular audits and assessments ensuring alignment with industry standards and regulations.
    • Stay updated on industry regulations and trends related to learning, development, safety, property insurance, and claims, and adjust risk management strategies accordingly.
    EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE
    • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field; or seven (7) years equivalent education and experience.
    • Proven experience in risk management, insurance management, or related roles.
    • Strong understanding of insurance policies, claims management processes, and industry regulations.
    • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
    • Effective communication and negotiation skills.
    • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders.
    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
    This position will primarily work within the office environment but may also engage in occasional physical tasks such as bending, reaching, sitting, and walking during the workday. This role may require the ability to lift items weighing at least 20 pounds. Moreover, the individual will also spend extended periods each day working on a personal computer. Must be available to work flexible and longer hours during busy seasons. Reasonable accommodation may be available to enable persons with physical disabilities to perform the job.
