Location: RDC Louisville, KY
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday with some Saturday mornings. Hours may vary based on business needs.
Travel Required: Based on business need. May be required to travel to other RDC’s.
Job Purpose
Customer Experience Specialists/Forklift Operators are responsible for having a high level of understanding of product knowledge for products that are sold by the business. They are responsible for communicating that knowledge to the customers. They will ensure timely, accurate, and thorough handling of the product as it is delivered to the customer.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Thoroughly knows the installation process and product usage.
- Acts as a subject matter expert in exceptional customer service.
- Estimates material requirements and upsells products needed for the job.
- Works with the sales department to grow a customer base.
- Assists the manager with daily functions.
- Accurately and thoroughly enter orders for all customers in a timely manner.
- Inspect product load for accuracy and safely move it around the warehouse or yard to ensure timely and complete delivery to customer.
- Operates a forklift to load/unload trucks, flatbeds, and trailers.
- Manually load or unload materials from pallets, skids, cars, trailers or other transport vehicles.
- Operates an RF Scanner to manage orders and inventory.
- Pick and pull inventory, as well as stage, in a warehouse and yard setting.
- Uses various software including ERP Systems, Excel, and other Microsoft Office Products to perform various customer transactions.
- Perform inspection of forklift equipment.
- Process cash, account, and counter sales, assist showroom sales, and correctly files corresponding paperwork.
- Schedule deliveries within company terms and conditions. Work with distribution to meet corporate delivery standards.
- Maintain constant communication with management regarding customer/product issues and receive and communicate information in this role in a professional, informative, and instructive manner.
- Vigorous compliance with all SOP’s, company policies, procedures, and performance standards. Help control expenses in any area of the company at all times.
- Support the efforts of the sales staff to gain market share and increase revenue at your RDC with the ultimate goal of achieving the divisional budget.
- Effectively drive the sales of tools, accessories, natural stone, and other products as budgeted.
- Assist manager with cycle counts of all inventory.
Education, Knowledge, and Skills:
- High school diploma required, any level of college or certifications in business, sales, marketing or related field preferred.
- Forklift experience or certifications preferred.
- Bi-Lingual preferred (Spanish/English)
- Ability to demonstrate an exceptional customer service experience.
- Ability to connect with others, build trust, and be accountable for the customer experience.
- Has excellent interpersonal skills and is naturally persuasive.
- MS Office-Excel and Word knowledge.
- Knowledge of process to include order entry, RMAs, and basic ability to research data.

Work Environment:
Manufacturing and office environment. Exposure to noise, fumes, and dust, while in manufacturing facilities.
Physical Demands:
The employee is to occasionally Stand; Walk; Climb or balance; Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; the employee is regularly Sit; Use hands to finger, handle, or feel; Reach with hands and arms; Talk or hear. The employee must be able to lift 50 lbs without assistance.
