Seasonal Camp Store Clerk - Starved Rock Campground
JOB SUMMARY:
Assist customers in an efficient, courteous and professional manner. Answer questions about products and services offered, encourage and process sales transactions, perform inventory control and notify supervisor of immediate product needs including firewood, ice & other camp supplies.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

- Abide by service quality standards for retail operations in providing assistance to customers.
- Answer customer questions and be proactive in responding to their needs.
- Build rapport with customers, describe product features, demonstrate their use and encourage sales of products and services.
- Communicate with Camp Hosts on Campground Occupancy and Campground needs.
- Check in incoming merchandise and restock merchandise on the sales floor.
- Assist the manager in inventory and merchandise reordering as needed.
- As directed by the manager, create product displays.
- Follow opening and closing procedures for your assigned retail location.
- Provide the highest level of performance, commitment to the mission of the Lodge and team cooperation within and across retail operations.
- Act as cashier for sales transactions.
- Utilize Lodge resources wisely.
- Utilize tact and sensitivity while treating people with respect. Adjust communication styles for different people.
- Act with consistently high personal standards of integrity.
- Hold self accountable for ethical and legal behavior.
JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Demonstrated strong organization skills and time management.
- Must be able to operate a cash register and perform basic math calculations..
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. on a regular basis and up to 50 lbs. on occasion.
- Must be willing to work weekends and evenings as needed.
- Must be at least 18 years of age, unless an appropriate work permit has been approved.
