Job Description for Splitter / Panel Maker

Were currently seeking a reliable person who is experienced in operating heavy machinery, and take on responsibility and safely operate machinery in this role. The main objective of your role is to run the machine that breaks apart the packs of lumber and restack them to our correct pack sizes, then move, and track materials. Interact with co-workers in a variety of settings. Must have the ability to get along with co-workers and great communication skills.

Objectives of this Role

• Operate a variety of machines, ensuring the production schedule is met.
• Work as part of a team.
• Evaluate systems and processes.
• Comply with company policies and legal guidelines, helping to maintain a safe and orderly work environment
• Meet quality and performance requirements as outlined by quality assurance and production standards.
• Report safety hazards, quality, and production issues to management immediately.

Skills and Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Able to lift 50 lbs
• Proven experience working with heavy machinery
• Work in different climates
• Strong mechanical testing and implementation capabilities
• Ability to handle heavy equipment and perform heavy lifting on a regular basis
