Job Title: Dining Room Manager

Job Description:

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Dining Room Manager to oversee the efficient and effective operation of our dining area. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a positive dining experience for guests, managing staff, and ensuring compliance with company standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Guest Interaction:

   • Greet every guest with an enthusiastic welcome upon entering the dining area.
   • Ensure exceptional customer service to enhance the overall dining experience.

2. Staff Recruitment and Management:

   • Collaborate with the corporate office to interview and hire staff, maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations.
   • Manage employee schedules to ensure proper coverage for all shifts.
   • Conduct weekly team meetings to discuss operational procedures, safety, promotions, and training.

3. Administrative Duties:

   • Attend weekly manager meetings set by executive leadership, preparing and presenting necessary reports.
   • Maintain accurate reports and records according to company standards.
   • Oversee product management, including ordering, inventory, and quality checks to meet accountability standards.

4. Compliance and Safety:

   • Enforce sanitation, safety, and security policies and procedures.
   • Ensure adherence to appearance and uniform standards for all personnel.
   • Investigate and resolve customer complaints promptly.

5. Financial Management:

   • Maintain company targets and standards for food cost, sales, and labor.
   • Conduct money counts and make deposits as

needed.

1. Food Preparation and Menu Updates:

   • Direct, coordinate, and participate in food preparation, cooking, wrapping, or packing.
   • Inform personnel of any menu or price changes, shortages, specials, or other relevant factors affecting food production.

2. Facility Maintenance:

   • Coordinate and supervise the cleaning and maintenance of facilities and equipment.
   • Ensure compliance with all rules and regulations regarding proper food safety.

3. Policy Enforcement:

   • Enforce company policies and procedures consistently.

4. Leadership and Conflict Resolution:

   • Provide leadership and guidance to the dining room staff.
   • Address and resolve any conflicts or issues within the team.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in restaurant management or a related field.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to the restaurant industry.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations calmly.
• Proficient in using computer software for reporting and scheduling.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience in a managerial role within the restaurant industry.
