Overview

You will be an integral member of the team that creates distinctively different and authentic experiences for our guests. You will warmly and enthusiastically assist guests with reservations, inquiries and cancellations, and quoting available rates to maximize room revenue. You must be engaging and able to answer questions and provide information.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls and assist guest in making reservations.
• Proactive outbound reach to past and current guest.
• Handle emailed inquiries in a timely manner
• Assist guest with online inquires via chat function in Navis
• Input all reservations accurately
• Achieve monthly reservation agent goals as determined by management.
• Participate in department projects
• Keep current with all communication and department information.
• Ensure appropriate guest follow up takes place in a timely and proper fashion
• Provide notes and comments regarding guest requests; denote special needs to ensure a smooth registration upon arrival at the front desk;
• Enter Group Rooming Lists into reservation system;
• Attend and participate in monthly reservations meetings;
• Participate in sales training programs;
• Potential for a monthly incentive based on performance
• Potential for a remote position after onsite training and trial period
• Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, all Suncadia professionals may be required to work varying schedules to reflect business needs.

Qualifications

• High school education or GED equivalent
• Previous working knowledge of Navis and Springer Miller Reservation Systems a plus
• Previous resort, hotel, or guest service experience
• Excellent communication skills, particularly communication over the phone
• Must have computer knowledge
• People Person - must possess a professional, positive presentation and strong motivation to provide exceptional customer service
• Ability to thrive and succeed in a fast-paced, demanding work environment
• Ability to use office equipment in an efficient and effective manner
• Strong organizational skills
• Basic computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office software suite
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and multitask
• Ability to work as a team-player and accept assignments from multiple individuals
