    SUMMARY

    The Reservations and Lodge Manager is responsible for coordinating and maintaining the intake of customer’s reservations through on-line, phone or other to include payments received, invoicing and marketing efforts. To support operations and provide a level of hospitality which meets the company’s expectations. This position is ideal for a married or long-term committed couple as you will be sharing a room.


    ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Set up and monitor billing arrangements for customer’s reservations and as instructed follow up and actively communicate any issues within a timely manner.
    • Pursue marketing leads; follow up in detail with phone/on requests for information.
    • Ensure all aspects of the point-of-sale process are monitored and managed by capturing all sales inquiries as applicable.
    • Respond to customer requests, refunds, web and phone inquiries.
    • Assist the General Manager in the creation of a service orientated team that provides the guest with a clean, well-maintained, comfortable environment.
    • Provide a welcoming lodge environment for our customers with high standards of service which meet the companies’ expectations.
    • Responsible for providing input and driving strategic growth plans, support and execute the business development plan.
    • Understand completely and enforce all policies, procedures, standards, specifications and guidelines for operating the business.
    • Maintain a safe, harmonious, enjoyable workplace environment for the staff and customers.
    • Participate in providing lodge operational updates.
    • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Job Requirements:


    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    • Minimum of eight (8) years of relevant lodge reservation experience with a solid understand of the requirements/logistics of remote operations.
    • Licensed Captain (6 Pack minimum).
    • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a guide in wilderness settings.
    • Experience with client intake, bookings, travel arrangement, and tour group coordination.
    • Experience in bookkeeping/invoicing of tour groups.
    • Experience managing group meals and hospitality.
    • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong organizational skills and detailed oriented.
    • Due to the isolated nature of this position and limited staff accommodations available, this position must share a bedroom with another staff member (Lodge General Manager). For this reason, the position is best suited for a couple or partnership for this position and the Lodge General Manager position.
    • Must have the stamina to work 50 or more hours per week.

    DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

    • Group instruction experience a plus.
    • CPR and First Aid Certified, EMT or higher qualification preferred.
    • Proficiency in planning, estimating, risk assessment, and management in the customer service/ hospitality industry.
    • Ability to coordinate multiple projects and initiatives and one time or during a very short work season.
    • Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; monitors own work to ensure quality.
    • Ability to track with a certain amount of detail varied customer inquiries.
    • Proven ability to exercise mature judgment – specifically in recognizing and respecting the needs and confidentiality of customer requirements.

    TRAVEL

    May require local travel up to 25% of the time.


    DRIVING REQUIREMENTS

    Must have or be able to attain a valid state driver’s license and be insurable on the company’s automobile insurance policy. Driving, with or without accommodation, may be required when traveling for training and/or short occasional amounts of local driving. The expected driving time is less than 25%.


    PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    Frequent sitting, using hands/fingers, handling, reaching with hands and arms, talking, hearing and seeing up close, at a distance, along the periphery, with depth perception and the ability to adjust focus; occasional walking or standing, occasional lifting of up to 75lbs.     WORK ENVIRONMENT

    Work environment is varied in its requirements as the off season would be characterized as an office setting, some travel with on season spent primarily off the grid, remote lodge operations.     WORK SCHEDULE

    Full Time. May be required to work overtime hours to complete assignments and/or projects. May require flexible work schedule.
