  • In this fast-paced, high-energy environment where convenience and exceptional service is essential to the overall experience at Potawatomi, how do we ensure guests to our Retail Store are served quickly with exceptional service? As the Retail Supervisor, you will oversee maintenance of the Retail Store and supervise a team of employees with a focus on exceptional service. While carrying out the job duties listed below, you will contribute to our continued success by demonstrating unsurpassed guest service, a high level of integrity and ethical standards, and personal and professional dedication to our mission, vision, and values.


    Principal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential Functions)

    • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include but are not limited to interviewing, hiring, and training team members; scheduling and motivating team members; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining team members; addressing complaints; and resolving problems.
    • Provide customer service to guests to include but not limited to assisting them in selection and/or purchases, exchanges, and redemption of earned Players Club points.
    • Ensure team members offer superior guest service to including assessing and anticipating the needs of the staff and guests.
    • Conduct inspections of merchandise prices and displays and assist with inventory.
    • Maintain accurate reports to include but not limited to cigarette vending machine records, cash receipt records, cash drawer variances, and attendance records
    • Ensure work areas are well stocked with supplies and meet with prospective vendors as needed.
    • Respond to and resolve guest complaints and concerns, directing any further complaints to the Retail Manager.
    • Conduct daily meetings to facilitate the flow of information from management to team members and communicate concerns to the Retail Manager.
    • Assist the Retail Manager in displaying store merchandise to its best advantage, ensure timely product rotation and replenishment, and help to maintain a cohesive and visually pleasing environment. May also make recommendations as to variety of merchandise stocked or displayed.
    • Assist with opening and closing of the Retail Store.
    • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
    • Ensure full compliance with departmental Internal Controls, policies, procedures, and regulations.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Job Qualifications

    • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
    • 2 years of retail experience that includes cash handling and customer service is required.
    • The ability to use basic math skills including adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, and counting using whole numbers and United States currency.
    • Office skills must include the ability to use standard office equipment and basic knowledge of Microsoft Office. Purchasing software experience preferred.
    • The ability to maintain discretion in handling confidential information. The ability to interact with guests and team members in a professional manner.
    • The ability to work irregular hours and extended shifts including late nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
    • While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to talk, hear, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, stand, and move for duration of scheduled shift. The team member is frequently required to use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms. The team member must be able to operate a personal computer. The team member will be required to lift or move objects up to 25 pounds on a regular basis and up to 50 pounds with assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

    Working Conditions

    The noise level is usually moderate to loud. When on the casino floor the noise level increases. The facility is not smoke free.
