• Shifts (Varied) 6:30 AM to 330 PM and 1230 PM to 9 PM, including every other weekend

• Job Overview: The Cashier/Food Server position requires an enthusiastic Cashier/Food Server to oversee, enhance, and ensure a pleasant dining experience for our guests.  The Cashier/Food Server will maintain a positive and respectful relationship with team members, engage with guests in a professional, dignified manner, and inform management of potential service and product issues before they arise.  It is considered essential personnel that contributes to the health and wellness of our patients and the community. • The Cashier/Food Server will work the Cash Registers and help with the setup with entrées, soups, and serve the customers in the Café.  Apportions and places food servings in container.  Examines food before placing on the serving line.  Cleans and sanitizes workstations and counters.  May brew coffee.  Interacts with customers in the serving area.  Complies with all HACCP policies and procedures. Reports all accidents and injuries in a timely manner. Complies with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures. Participates in regular safety meetings, safety training and hazard assessments. Attends training programs (classroom and virtual) as designated.

Job Qualifications: Experience/Knowledge: High School Diploma or GED is REQUIRED.  Serving experience preferred.  Skills/Aptitude:  Presents self in a highly professional manner to others and understands that honesty and ethics are essential. Ability to maintain a positive attitude. Ability to communicate with co-workers and other departments with professionalism and respect. Maintains a professional relationship with all coworkers, supervisors, managers, and all customers. Basic food-handling skills. License/Qualifications Certifications: None. General Qualifications: Willingness to be open to learning and growing. Maturity of judgment and behavior. Maintains high standards for work areas and appearance.  Maintains a positive attitude. Ability to work a flexible schedule helpful.  Must comply with dress code requirements. Must be able to work weekdays, rotating weekends, and some holidays. Attends work and shows up for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity. Physical Requirements:  Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus, with or without corrective lenses. Ability to work in a standing position for long periods (up to 8 hours).

Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push and/or pull, and lift up to 25 pounds.  Working Conditions (may add additional conditions specific to defined work location): Generally, in an indoor setting; while performing the duties of this job, the employee is primarily in a controlled, temperate environment; however, may be exposed to heat/cold during support of outside activities. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
