DESCRIPTION:
Room service Food Servers assist with answering phones in a fast and courteous manner; promote and suggest menu items to guests; record orders; handle guest billing, and process payments. Set up food service trays to meet the guests dining needs and delivers food and beverages to guests staying in the hotel. Provide exceptional customer service to each and every guest. Perform other job duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Must be at least 21 years of age.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Must have minimum six (6) months experience in food service and a complete understanding of the room service department.
Must have strong basic math skills, and familiarity with POS computer systems.
Must display knowledge of business phone etiquette.
Experience in self-banking and counting money preferred.
Must have a talent for multi-tasking.
Must have excellent customer service and communication skills.
Must be able to lift, maneuver, and carry up to 15 pounds on a repetitive basis.
Must be able to carry and maneuver a food tray.
Must be able to stand and/or walk for duration of shift.
Must be able to demonstrate a high level of service delivery to do what is necessary to ensure customer satisfaction; deal with service failures, and prioritize guest’s needs.
Must be able to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications.
