Job Summary:

We are seeking a Director of Guest Experience to join our Best of Madison nominated team at the Tasting Room Lounge. The Director of Guest Experience will be the first point of contact for guests at the Tasting Room by greeting guests and assisting them with their reservations. The Director of Guest Experience will also check in with guests to ensure an elevated level of customer service, with the goal of promptly and professionaly creating memorable experiences for each of our guests. The ideal candidate will have a passion for and/or degree in hospitality, and be able to excel in a lively, upscale—and sometimes fast-paced--professional environment.

Duties:

- Interact with guests with a friendly demeanor (positive attitude and good sense of humor a definite plus)

- Greet guests upon arrival, assist with their reserved seating, and ensure walk-in guests can find available seating and receive prompt service

- Assist guests with inquiries, requests or any other immediate needs

- Manage reservations by ensuring reserved seating is ready prior to the time of guest arrival

- Occasionally assist with taking orders, maintaining tabs or processing payments

- Occasionally assist with getting tables ready for the next guest to be sat in a timely fashion

- Provide professional and friendly interaction throughout the guest's visit to guage their level of satisfaction with service

- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the lounge throughout the evening

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in hospitality, guest services, or a similar role is preferred, but not required

- Excellent etiquette, personal grooming and communication skills

- Friendly, positive and professional demeanor

- Ability to multitask and enjoy meeting and conversing with new people

- Strong customer service orientation and with the ability to handle guests in a professional manner
