Job Description:
We are seeking enthusiastic and experienced Cocktail and Small Eats Servers to join our team and deliver exceptional service to our guests. The ideal candidates will have a passion for hospitality, a friendly and outgoing demeanor, and a dedication to providing memorable experiences for our patrons through attentive service and expert knowledge of our menu offerings.
Responsibilities:
- Greet guests warmly as they arrive and guide them to their seats, providing menus and offering recommendations on cocktail and small eats selections.
- Take drink and food orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring that special requests and dietary preferences are noted and communicated to the kitchen and bar staff.
- Prepare and serve a variety of classic cocktails, craft beers, wines, and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and customer preferences.
- Deliver food and beverages to guests promptly and courteously, balancing multiple trays and ensuring that orders are complete and presented attractively.
- Engage with guests to anticipate their needs, answer questions about menu items, and provide information about upcoming live music performances and venue offerings.
- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their visit, checking in periodically to ensure that they are enjoying their experience and addressing any concerns or requests promptly and professionally.
- Process payments accurately and efficiently, handling cash and credit transactions with precision and attention to detail, and reconciling sales at the end of each shift.
- Collaborate with other servers, bartenders, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth operations and maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for guests.
- Complete start of shift and end of shift checklist.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a server in a fast-paced hospitality environment, preferably in a restaurant, bar, or live music venue.
- Strong knowledge of cocktails, wines, and small eats, with the ability to make recommendations and answer questions about menu items confidently and accurately.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and professional demeanor and the ability to engage with guests in a welcoming and inclusive manner.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a high-pressure environment, while maintaining a positive attitude and attention to detail.
- Basic math skills and proficiency in handling cash transactions accurately and responsibly.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed, with a commitment to providing exceptional service during peak hours.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $200.00 - $500.00 per week
Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
