Tower23 is currently seeking In Room Dining Servers to join our team! The IRD Server is responsible for providing the highest quality of service to hotel guests in an attentive, courteous, and efficient manner. He/she is also responsible for providing a quality dining experience in the guest’s room. He/she will receive and deliver food, beverage, and amenity orders and collect payment. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a high-volume, boutique hotel environment to continue the tradition of excellence and service for which Tower23 is known. 

Must have the availability and flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays. 

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS 

• Must have previous food and beverage experience; serving experience preferred 
• Responsible Beverage Service and Food Handlers certification(s) are a plus 
• POS systems and cash handling experience  
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills  
• Well organized and detail oriented  
• Self-motivated and works with a sense of urgency 

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES 

Reporting to the Hotel Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: 

• Ensure customer interaction and experience meets and exceeds expectations 
• Greet and assist all guests with a positive, friendly attitude and professional demeanor 
• Promote safety awareness and practice safe work habits 
• Support and comply with hotel policies and procedures 
• Effectively communicate with supervisors and co-workers 
• Excellent customer service and confident on the phone 

• Computer literate and phone skills are a must 
• Ability to multitask in a high profile, high traffic environment 
• Team oriented and self-motivated, able to work unsupervised 
• Have a thorough knowledge of menus and current specials 
• Perform cashiering functions by closing checks and preparing end of shift paperwork. 
• Perform opening and closing procedures and side-work duties according to assignment 
  and established checklist. 
•  Answer the telephone according to standards. 
• Consistently upsell food, beverage and promotional items to guests. 
• Receive and deliver food and beverage orders to guest rooms and collect payment. 
• Follow all responsible alcohol practices. Card all guests who appear under the age of 40. 
• Maintain cleanliness of Kitchen and IRD Storage rooms. 
• Follow tray and cart pick up procedures to ensure cleanliness of all guest hallways. 
• Properly and consistently set up, deliver, and charge for amenities. 
• Notify management to any pertinent information each shift. 
• Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Manager On Duty or other Property MODs. 

**Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required 

to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the company.** 

SALARY RANGE: $18.00 per hour tips
