    JOB SUMMARY

    Performs cleaning of guest rooms, including stripping/making beds, cleaning with chemicals, vacuuming, dusting, replenishing supplies, reporting repair needs, etc., to ensure that rooms are ready to be sold. Provides guest service standards that enhance the guest experience and promote return business.

     

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

    1. Ensure customer satisfaction and return business through prompt, efficient, and friendly service.
    2. Exhibits WRC service standards at all times - sincere greeting, eye contact, smile, proximity rules, uniform standards, anticipating guest needs, etc.
    3. Promotes and adheres to safety rules and regulations at all times, to protect guests and employees from injury, risks, or hazards. Promptly report safety concerns to the Supervisor.
    4. Clean assigned rooms using established cleaning procedures and operating time frames. Assignments may vary, and include bed strippers/makers; or cleaners who perform all deep cleaning of rooms - dusting, vacuuming, garbage removal, cleaning with chemicals, replenishing of supplies, and reporting repair needs.
    5. Shall assist with loading/unloading of housekeeping carts - soiled/clean linens, supplies, garbage, checklists, etc.
    6. Maintain strict security of room keys to prevent unauthorized access to guest’s rooms or property, and to protect WRC assets.
    7. Assist guests with supply requests and/or household services.
    8. Ensure that the operation of equipment, tools, and materials is handled safely.
    9. Maintain record keeping as needed to maintain supplies, note repairs, report incidents, etc.
    10. Report any damages, lost and found items, and/or unusual occurrences immediately.
    11. Assist in hotel laundry as needed, and help maintain public area cleanliness.
    12. Comply with regulatory laws, PP&P, department policy and procedures, safety codes, etc.
    13. Other related duties as assigned or directed.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    1. Stand and/or walk for long periods; perform repetitive motions while bending, lifting, stretching, and kneeling and using back, legs, arms, and hands; lift and maneuver 50 lbs., work with cleaning chemicals and smoke and pet environment.
    2. Read and understand safety warnings and adhere to safety rules.
    3. Effective communication skills - verbally provide instruction, respond to questions, and read written directions in English. Requires interpersonal skills that promote effective communication with the public and other team members.
    4. Extremely reliable and dependable - to work as scheduled, including weekends and holidays.
    5. Exhibits a professional demeanor through appearance and by maintaining a positive attitude toward all employees and guests.
    6. Requires criminal history clearance check.
    7. Must be at least 18 years of age.

     

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    1. Experience with cleaning procedures and materials.
    2. High School Diploma or GED.
