SAP Basis Consultant provides technical support and leadership on SAP Basis systems including establishing standards and requirements, evaluating and directing enhancements, and implementing solutions for performance monitoring, and systems configuration, design and implementation. Designs and develops SAP architecture requirements and specifications to ensure the system is meeting corporate needs. Being a SAP Basis Consultant requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. To be a SAP Basis Consultant typically requires 10+ years of related experience. Works on advanced, complex technical projects or business issues requiring state of the art technical or industry knowledge. Works autonomously. Key Responsibilities:
- This person would be for a 3 month engagement project.
- Under general supervision, may develop, write, and edit material for quality manual documents including Quality Operating Procedures, Quality Work Instructions, Detailed Operator Work Instructions
- Under general supervision, may observe production, developmental, and experimental activities to document operating procedures and details.
- Under general supervision, may interview production and engineering personnel to become familiar with product technologies and production methods
- The documents would be Primarily Quality Manual Documents: Quality Operating Procedures, Quality Work Instructions, and Detailed Operator Work Instructions.
- This person will be 100% revising existing documents to begin, then shift to 80% existing / 20% new after a couple of months.
- This also includes control tasks to ensure that technical documentation is reviewed on time.
Create and maintain illustrated assembly and test instructions. Work directly with assemblers and engineers to determine document content.
Qualifications:
- Strong organizational and written communication skills.
- Experience with Area Work Instructions within Manufacturing
- Experience writing instructional or procedural documentation.
- Mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in all MS Office applications.
- A degree in the related field of study, BS in Manufacturing Engineering preferred.
- Work hours to be performed on-site (minimal work-from-home).
- Work directly with assemblers and manufacturing engineers to determine document content.
- Obtain illustrations using digital cameras, modeling software, and illustration software.
- Revise existing documents to conform to engineering and process changes.
- Check own and peer writer documents for accuracy and completeness.
- Work with a proprietary enterprise data management system to publish or revise documents.
