What you’ll do:

The AI Product Engineering team delivers scalable, re-usable, state of the art AI technologies for SAP, both internally via reusable AI capabilities embedded into products directly and externally for developers and partners for products such as Joule and GenAI Hub. The team delivers the AI and provides on-going production-level support and improvements to LoBs, creating a cycle of prioritization, execution, shipping/delivery, and collecting feedback/signals as quickly and efficiently as possible.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Product Engineering Strategy PM to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating product engineering impact for incoming requests and informing engineering investments. You will also work closely with stakeholders, which are the outbound product management team, the product teams, and the marketing team to ensure that our messaging framework for work done by the product engineering team accurately captures the value.

The Role:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand AI feature requests, evaluate the impact, and help inform product engineering investment decisions

• Monitor and propose new metrics that will help drive insights for current investments and shipped capabilities

• Drive best practices and processes for efficient and streamlined impact understanding

• Create messaging frameworks that capture the value and innovation for the work that the product engineering team does

What you bring:

• Proven experience in business analytics and competitive research, in particular for AI-related capabilities, with understanding of AI/ML use cases

• Strong ability to evaluate opportunities, do rapid research, and inform investment decisions

• Passionate about data: data-driven decisions and insights from data

• Strong storytelling skills with technical understanding to build messaging frameworks

• Experience with business applications like ERP or CRM and understanding of new gen AI technologies

• Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to think outside the box and roll up one’s sleeves to get the job done.

• Exceptional teamwork abilities and leadership skills including track record of delivering C-level grade presentations

Compensation Range Transparency: SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 130500 - 268700 (USD) USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
