• Review & work queues in relation to Orders for procedures and injections. Contacts patients if pre-payment is required and or if a ABN/Waiver is needed. Provides estimates for their services.
• Review & work queues in relation to balances on Self-Pay, Collections, Statements.
• Maintains working knowledge of The Center’s Financial Assistance Program.
• Understand how insurance claims are processed so education can be provided to patients on their bill which includes but not limited to: copay, coinsurance, deductible, patient responsibility.
• Work with our collection agency and reporting payments.
• Assist patients in setting up payment plans on self-pay balances.
• Update registration data in billing system when provided by patient or mail.
• Demonstrated ability in analytical problem solving.
• Ability to understand and follow organizational workflows and operating procedures.
• High accuracy data entry within billing system.
• Contributes ideas and information to improve processes, increase accuracy, create efficiencies and achieve the overall goals of the department.

Skills:

• Medical insurance knowledge required and prior experience with collections a plus
• Ability to work as part of a team as well as a high performing individual contributor
• Excellent communication, organization and problem-solving skills required
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities
• Strong computer skills, proficient with MS Suite
