Program Manager

Boots to Business is an entrepreneurial education and training program offered by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) as an optional training track within the Department of Defense’s Transition Assistance Program (TAP). The Program Manager coordinates activities and implements plans supporting the Boots-to-Business training program, which is designed to train separating active-duty service members, National Guard, Reserve, Veterans, and their spouses in entrepreneurship. 

General Qualifications

The Program Manager is responsible for leading the contract support team of Program Analysts, Salesforce developers, and consultants in the functional areas of development/maintenance, FISMA system security and controls maintenance, help-desk support, data analytics, and client program support including:

·         Strategic Planning;

·         Systems Development/Configuration Management;

·         Help Desk support using adapted Agile processes;

·         Background in Federal Government Support/Customer Service;

·         People Skills/Small Team Leadership;

·         Day to day Management;

·         Process of Continuous Improvement

Required Skills

·         Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing;

·         Expert level proficiency in MS Office Suite / SharePoint / Adobe Pro;

·         Strong communications and interpersonal skills; and

·         Ability to work on short-term assignments with tight deadlines while managing multiple tasks and projects;

·         Masters Degree or Technical Masters

Specialized Skills

·         Military experience a plus

·         Eligible for a Public Trust Position (SF85P)

·         Project Management Professional (PMP)

·         Salesforce Platform Experience or another Cloud-based platform in FISMA compliant environment;

·         Familiar with FISMA compliance requirements;

·         NIST security standards and controls;
