The Business Analyst is a critical project team member and is responsible for supporting the team during the planning, execution, and successful close of assigned projects within the specified scope, budget, and timeline. Under the direction and in partnership with a Project Manager, the Business Analyst actively contributes to project delivery in a matrixed organization by producing key project deliverables (requirements documents, process flow documents, use/test cases) and applies a customer-focused approach to meeting the needs of the project team.
• Follows the project management processes and methodologies set by the Project Manager and contributes to projects being delivered on time, within budget, adheres to high-quality standards and meets customer expectations. • Supports the creation of key project deliverables to include project plans, schedules, and communications plans as needed for the timely completion of assigned projects.• Analyzes business partners’ operations to understand their strengths and weaknesses to determine opportunities to automate processes and functions and to help determine the most effective solutions.• Serves as liaison between the project team and the end users involved in the project with respect to training, testing, and eventual management of the output of the project.• Responsible for completing assigned deliverables in a timely manner and with a high degree of autonomy and proficiency. • Partners with the Project Manager and the project team in developing and maintaining understanding and buy-in from staff on the changes the project will require.• Develops and maintains a strong grasp of the technical details of the assigned project.• Uses metrics to demonstrate progress and provides concise overviews to the Project Manager for use in planning.• Able to successfully elicit functional and non-functional requirements from busy project sponsors.• Upholds a work environment that promotes teamwork, partnership, recognition, mutual respect, and collaboration while role modeling the company values, behaviors, and culture of One.Team.Chumash.• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field is required.• Specific training in an industry accepted business analysis discipline (certification such as ECBA, CCBA, CBAP preferred).• Three years of business analysis experience required.• Previous top-tier consulting experience highly desired.• Must apply for, receive, and maintain a Gaming License from the Tribal Gaming Agency.• Native American hiring preference applies.
