SBA Regional Sales Manager manages a team of lending officers that generate Small Business Administration (SBA) government-guaranteed loans and lines of credit. Develops relationships with a network of financial professionals and other referral sources to identify prospects. Being a SBA Regional Sales Manager engages with clients to ensure their ongoing needs are addressed and to understand the broader needs of the small business community in the region. Regularly monitors and reviews the current SBA loan portfolio to identify issues. Additionally, SBA Regional Sales Manager maintains an up-to-date knowledge of SBA products, rules, and regulations. Establishes operational processes that conform with SBA SOP guidelines. Provides coaching, training, and development opportunities for banking officers on the team. Requires a bachelor's degree in finance, business or equivalent. Typically reports to a director. The SBA Regional Sales Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a SBA Regional Sales Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     You will serve as a Program Analyst for the Small Business Administration (SBA), Office of Disaster Recovery and Resilience, Disaster Policy, Planning, and Partnerships Division in Washington, District of Columbia. This position is provides advice and assistance on a variety of analytical issues including long-range planning, procedural and policy development, and policy implementation.

    Requirements/Conditions of Employment

    • U.S. citizenship is required.
    • You must be able to obtain and maintain a Government travel credit card.
    • Favorable background investigation and credit check are required.
    • Credit score below 500 may negatively impact consideration in the hiring process.
    • A one-year supervisory/managerial probationary period may be required.
    • You may be required to complete a one-year probationary period.
    • This is not a bargaining unit position.

    Qualifications

    *Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g. Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. If qualifying based on related unpaid (e.g. volunteer service) experience, you must provide hours worked per week and beginning/ending dates (mm/yyyy to mm/yyyy).

    You must meet all qualification requirements by the closing date of this announcement.

    Experience:
    To receive credit, you must indicate the month and year as well as the average hours worked per week for each employer. Average work hours must be stated on the resume to quantify each period of work experience or that experience will not be credited toward meeting the specialized experience requirement.
    You must address the specific specialized experience required for each grade level of this position on your resume or application or you will be rated "Ineligible" for that grade level.

    GS-13: To qualify you must have at least 1 full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the GS-12 level in the Federal service that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skill, and ability to perform successfully in this position. This experience may have been gained in a Non-Federal service position. In addition, this Specialized Experience must demonstrate the following:

    • Experience using analytical skills and applying a wide range of qualitative and quantitative methods to evaluate program or organizational needs.
    • Knowledge of a wide range of health, safety, security directives, and/or environmental policy requirements related to disaster response or emergency management.
    • Experience in collaborating or fostering relationships between Federal, State, Tribal and/or local governments, and/or non-governmental organizations, and/or the public/private sector, and their response and recovery mechanisms and authorities.
    • Knowledge of emergency management and related directives, policies, regulations, procedures, and/or methods.

    There is no educational substitution at this grade level.

    Pay: $117,962.00 - $153,354.00 per year
