Position Title: Machine Assistant – Box Manufacturing

Location: Allstate Paper Box

Job Summary: We are seeking a mechanically inclined individual to join our box manufacturing plant as a Machine Assistant. The ideal candidate will have a robust understanding of mechanical systems and demonstrate proficiency in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial equipment. This role is essential to ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Assist in the installation and commissioning of new machinery.
• Work closely with the production team to minimize downtime and improve productivity.
• Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
• Collaborate with other team members to implement process improvements and best practices.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and machine functionalities.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in mechanical engineering or a related field is preferred.
• Experience using hand tools and measuring tape with extreme accuracy
• Proven mechanical aptitude with a minimum of 2 years experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
• Familiarity with the principles of box manufacturing and packaging machinery is a plus.
• Competency in using tools and diagnostic equipment for mechanical repairs.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and schematics.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
