  • POSITION SUMMARY:
    Running induction machines consistently and error free to meet quality standards. The Machine Operator will load and run the machine to produce high quality, detailed work based on established standards, guidelines and procedures.
    KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
    Support Zion’s Strategic Foundations
    • Work productively, efficiently and timely to meet customer needs.
    • Monitor induction process to make certain all steps are completed with accuracy.
    • Properly and skillfully load and unload parts into fixture.
    • Ensure precise, consistent, error free work output.
    • Observe machine operation with awareness of machine malfunction and/or operator error. Follow established standards, guidelines or procedures to report issues.
    • Effectively communicate and cooperate with team members.
    • Actively participate in and maintain Zion’s Safety and Housekeeping standards.
    KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:
    • 100% Consistent error free work
    QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
    • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
    • Able to operate independently as well as part of a team.
    • Must be able to successfully communicate with other team members to ensure customer requirements are met.
    • Ability to read and follow Work Instructions.
    • Demonstrate steady, methodical, error-free work output.
    MACHINES/EQUIPMENT/TOOLS/WORK AIDES:
    Zion will train on proper use of required machines.
    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
    • Bending, stooping, standing, walking on hard surfaces
    • Ability to lift, up to 50 pounds throughout the shift
    • Ability to work overtime as necessary
    • Ability to work in hot environment
    • Ability to use hands and arms to operate equipment
    WORK ENVIRONMENT:
    • Shop environment.
    • Occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
