Join Our Team as a Safe Environment Coordinator!

If so, we invite you to join us as a Safe Environment Coordinator for the Catholic Diocese of Sioux Falls!

Key Responsibilities:

• Communicate and implement safe environment policies and procedures to protect children, youth, and vulnerable adults within our diocese.
• Coordinate and oversee comprehensive background checks and training programs for employees and volunteers working with at-risk populations.
• Collaborate with diocean and community leaders to identify and/or develop annual training materials.
• Provide support and resources to parishes and schools to ensure compliance with safe environment guidelines..
• Collect data for annual compliance audits and assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of our safe environment programs.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of Catholic teachings and principles related to safe environment practices.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
• Strong database management skills with attention to detail.
