Safety Director directs, develops, and oversees the general health and safety policies and procedures of the organization. Ensures the workplace is in compliance with OSHA and other state, local, or industry specific regulations and that periodic safety audits are conducted. Being a Safety Director provides programs that ensure a safe workplace including safety orientations, skill training, emergency preparedness, proper job instruction, hazardous material disposal procedures, and the use of protective equipment. Develops a systemic process to collect data and analyze the causes of accidents and generate required reporting. Additionally, Safety Director implements initiatives to reduce and prevent accidents, occupational illnesses, and exposure to long-term health hazards. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Safety Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be a Safety Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. We’re searching for an individual who can provide high-quality service to all guests and understands the worth of exceptional customer service and safety protocols.

    • You work well with other members of the building such as security guards, porters, guests, tenants, and building staff.
    • You work well under little direct management.

    Schedule:

    • Monday - Friday, 8:00am -5:00pm

    Requirements:

    • Must have an active F-89 or T-89* license.

    Description:

    • Maintain control of all keys. This includes logging the keys in and out.
    • Uphold and enforce all agency rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
    • Conduct patrols of the facility, noting all emergency lights, security devices, fire extinguishers, and other building systems and/or property in need of attention.
    • Prepare incident report forms for all accidents, incidents, illegal or illicit activities, and or damage.
