POSITION TITLE: Carbon Block Technician

POSITION PURPOSE:
The Carbon Block Technician is responsible for the production of Carbon block filters. Carbon Block Technicians operate the mixing, molding, cutting, and testing processes in Carbon block manufacturing.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Operate mixing, molding, cutting, and quality testing machines for production
• Meet performance standards set by Carbon Block Production Supervisor
• Reports quality issues to Carbon Block Production Lead and or Supervisor
• Records daily Carbon block production and number of rejected Carbon blocks
• Maintains a clean and safe work area
• Other duties as assigned

Special Requirements and Certifications:

• Medical approval to wear cartridge respirator

Physical Working Conditions:

• Working in a manufacturing environment
• Standing for extended periods of time, operating equipment and production machinery
• Environmental conditions range from 50°F to 110°F
• Carbon Block Department contains airborne carbon particles that requires a full-face respirator
• Requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations
• Requires bending, squatting, crawling, climbing and reaching
• Requires the ability to lift, carry, push or pull medium weights, up to 100 pounds

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
