Safety/Loss Prevention Manager - Construction is responsible for developing, maintaining, and managing the safety and loss prevention program for a company's construction department. Ensures that each project site conforms to all applicable safety regulations. Being a Safety/Loss Prevention Manager - Construction is responsible for assigning safety inspectors to sites and ensuring that follow-ups are conducted when necessary. Provides solutions when sites are found to be in violation of safety standards. Additionally, Safety/Loss Prevention Manager - Construction requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Safety/Loss Prevention Manager - Construction manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager.     Primoris Heavy Civil is seeking an experience Project Manager to lead our Laredo, Tx project. Potential candidate must have knowledge in heavy civil road & highway construction.


    Job Description for Project Manager:

    Budget and schedule development and maintenance, assure quality control, contract compliance and administration, project administration systems management, management of assigned job site personnel, responsible for administering safety programs and maintaining good owner relations.


    JOB DUTIES

    • Moderate to high level of proficiency operating Primavera 3 and 6.
    • Ability to communicate in English via verbal and written communications.
    • Ability to read and understand project owner specifications and engineering drawings.
    • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry and utilize Construction Math concepts.
    • Attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies.
    • Effective oral and written communication skills.
    • Strong organization/time management skills.
    • Work up to a 12-hour shift performing strenuous daily activities in varying temperatures and outside conditions.
    • Travel and relocation may be required.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS

    • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in all aspects of management of large heavy/civil highway construction projects with a proven track record of successful outcome.
    • Undergraduate degree in construction engineering, construction management or a related degree.
    • Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation.

    • Job site safety requirements as required by the client (clean shaven, long sleeves, steel toe boots, etc.).
    • Safety equipment as required by the client (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, respirator, hearing protection, safety harness with lanyard, etc.).
