Safety Representative jobs in Baltimore, MD

McLean Contracting Company is looking to hire a Safety Representative to join our team in the Baltimore, MD area.

A Safety Representative performs a variety of routine administrative, technical and professional work in analyzing and administering various components of the environmental, health and safety programs.

• Performs jobsite inspections and monitors compliance of company employees and subcontractors with all safety rules and regulations,

• Prepares reports,

• Possesses knowledge of hazardous condition elimination by recommending engineering controls, administering controls and/or PPE,

• Possesses the ability to work independently as well as communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing,

• Possesses knowledge of basic computer systems/software, organization and capability of multitasking.

Education and/or Experience

This position requires working knowledge of all applicable Federal, State and local environmental, health and safety laws as well as the company’s own safety policies/procedures and customer’s specific safety standards. High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.

Other Skills and Abilities

Must be at least 18 years old, have reliable transportation to work and able to pass a physical. Must be able to pass a Homeland Security background check to qualify for a Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC).
