Additionally, Safety Representative has a broad and current knowledge of all government and applicable industry safety regulations. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or its equivalent.   • Job Summary:

    The Environmental Health Specialist will conduct inspections of assigned facilities and equipment to ensure applicable health, safety, and environmental regulations are being met.

    Duties/Responsibilities:

    • Conducts scheduled and unscheduled inspections of facilities and equipment, which may include customer sites, branch locations, cranes, trucks, heavy equipment in industrial settings, job sites, and other settings to ensure compliance with applicable safety and health requirements.
    • Identifies potential violations of health, safety, and environmental regulations including OSHA and MSHA regulations.
    • Identifies and monitors hazards that may pose a threat to health and environment.
    • Inspects and identifies changes in the environment.
    • Implements environmental protection regulations and health standards for business, public, and residential areas.
    • Drafts inspection reports to document inspection findings.
    • Performs other related duties as assigned.
    • Work as onsite EHS for various jobsites including plant shut downs.

    Required Skills/Abilities:

    • Extensive knowledge of environmental health and safety regulations and policies.
    • Proficiency with technology and equipment used in environmental inspections.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Willing to travel.
    • Weekend work required.

    Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health or related course of study highly preferred.
    • One to three years of related experience preferred.
    • OSHA experience preferred.
    • MSHA experience preferred.
    • Crane and Rigging knowledge preferred.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Physically able to conduct inspections and carry equipment used for inspections.
    • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time.
    • Must be able to work from various heights.

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour

    Expected hours: 45 – 55 per week
