Safety Representative outlines and implements training programs to educate and inform workforce on work safety, environmental safety, and accident prevention regulations and procedures. Develops and distributes educational materials including videos, guides, and posters. Being a Safety Representative tracks and documents accidents to understand causes and recommend changes to prevent future accidents. Performs inspections and audits of facilities, equipment and processes recommending corrections or additional precautions to ensure compliance to established regulations. Additionally, Safety Representative has a broad and current knowledge of all government and applicable industry safety regulations. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Safety Representative works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Work is closely managed.   • FDRsafety is seeking a Health, Safety, and Security Manager for a manufacturing client near Leesport, PA. This position will be responsible for maintaining a safe work environment by auditing safety performance, revising safety policies and procedures as needed, and safety training at all levels of the organization.

    Education/Experience:
    Required:

    • Bachelor's Degree in safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental or Chemical Engineering or related field, or equivalent work experience, Required
    • 5 years’ experience in Environmental Health & Safety, or related field(s) in a Manufacturing environment.
    • First-Aid Certification, or ability to obtain within 60 days
    • CPR/AED Certification, or ability to obtain within 60 days
    • Certification in safety as a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) or a Certified Safety Professional (CSP), or Associate Safety Professional (ASP), Preferred
    • Knowledge of OSHA laws and regulations, State workers compensation laws
    • Knowledge of Federal, state and local laws/regulations/requirements related to Health, Safety and Security
    • Experience with accident investigation, safety audit programs for manufacturing
    • Knowledge of Continuous Improvement Tools, national incident management system (NIMS) or emergency management systems and document management system
