About Us

Montez Group is a Construction Management consulting firm that provides construction management and quality control services to large public works projects throughout California and Washington. We are currently looking for a part-time Site Safety Representative to join our team for a significant project at the San Francisco Water Treatment Plants. This position is an excellent opportunity for a safety professional who is passionate about ensuring safe work environments and promoting health and safety standards within the construction sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct daily safety inspections and audits to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including OSHA standards.
• Develop and implement safety training programs, including weekly safety talk discussions tailored to project-specific needs and potential hazards.
• Maintain meticulous records of safety inspections, incidents, and training activities.
• Collaborate with project team to identify safety risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Prepare and deliver detailed daily reports on safety compliance and activities.
• Engage in continuous education on safety regulations and best practices to serve as a knowledgeable resource for the project team.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction safety is required.
• Associate of Arts (AA) degree or higher in a relevant field is recommended.
• Must possess OSHA 30 certification.
• Additional certifications in fall protection, confined space entry, and other safety domains are highly desirable.
• Exceptional writing skills with experience in drafting daily safety reports and communications.
• Technological proficiency for managing safety documentation and records digitally.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well in a team environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective safety talks and team collaboration.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from the project sites (Water Treatment Plants)
• Additional Safety Certifications are a plus!

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $95,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 24 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• No nights
• No weekends
• On call

Travel requirement:

• Up to 25% travel

Ability to Relocate:

• San Francisco, CA 94112: Relocate before starting work (Required)
