Overview

Coastal Waste & Recycling is a locally owned and operated waste management and recycling company. We are experiencing explosive growth and with growth comes opportunity! We are currently adding a Safety Representative.  This position will train for six months in South Florida, but will ultimately be based in Rigeland, South Carolina.  

Responsibilities

Safety is a core value at Coastal Waste & Recycling and this role will be pivotal in ensuring that our employees all go home safely every night. 

We are looking for a Safety Representative to assist with performing the following responsibilities: 

• Investigating accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and develop corrective actions.
• Coaching and training district managers, supervisors, and front line employees on accident/injury prevention.
• Providing training and support to management and behind the wheel instructors to ensure new hire program is effective and performed per company guidelines.
• Coaching and training supervisors to complete thorough and effective safety observations.
• Providing managers and supervisors with the tools and training for company safety programs and initiatives.
• Monitoring completion of corporate related safety tasks.
• Supporting new acquisition integration as it related to EHS function.
• Working directly with operations to ensure adherence to the company’s health and safety programs.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in a safety related field.  #CWRHP
