Safety Representative outlines and implements training programs to educate and inform workforce on work safety, environmental safety, and accident prevention regulations and procedures. Develops and distributes educational materials including videos, guides, and posters. Being a Safety Representative tracks and documents accidents to understand causes and recommend changes to prevent future accidents. Performs inspections and audits of facilities, equipment and processes recommending corrections or additional precautions to ensure compliance to established regulations. Additionally, Safety Representative has a broad and current knowledge of all government and applicable industry safety regulations. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Safety Representative works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Work is closely managed. The National Association of Safety Professionals (NASP) seeks an experienced and dedicated Safety Trainer to join our dynamic team. We are not looking for a good safety trainer, we are looking for a GREAT safety trainer. As a Safety Trainer and Consultant, you will be designing, conducting, and implementing comprehensive safety training programs. This position requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience and a willingness to travel between 25-40% of the time.
Applicant MUST have experience in conducting HAZWOPER/HAZMAT and/or Confined Space Entry training. Please highlight this experience in your cover letter. Applicants without this required experience will not be considered.
A sample recording of a past training session is highly encouraged; interviewees will be expected to provide a short presentation highlighting their training abilities.
