Safety Representative outlines and implements training programs to educate and inform workforce on work safety, environmental safety, and accident prevention regulations and procedures. Develops and distributes educational materials including videos, guides, and posters. Being a Safety Representative tracks and documents accidents to understand causes and recommend changes to prevent future accidents. Performs inspections and audits of facilities, equipment and processes recommending corrections or additional precautions to ensure compliance to established regulations. Additionally, Safety Representative has a broad and current knowledge of all government and applicable industry safety regulations. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Safety Representative works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Work is closely managed.     MUST BE ABLE TO:

    • Drive a golf cart
    • Be responsible for the safeguarding of association property, assets, and members
    • Communicate clearly and professionally with members and other staff and keep the information confidential.
    • Maintain accurate daily logs; keep track of activities that are being performed and report to supervisor safety hazards or incidents.
    • Work independently
    • Handle emergency and stressful situations in a calm, professional manner.
    • Comply with Association rules and regulations and ensure members/guests are following the same rules.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Must have a valid Washington State Driver’s License.
    • First Aid/CPR training will be offered, as a card is required.

    KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

    • Self-motivated with a positive attitude.
    • A professional, helpful demeanor with finesse
    • Excellent customer service and the ability to get along with people.
    • Analytical and critical thinking skills.

    • Must have the ability to read, write, and speak English.
    • Must have the ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules.
    • Must have the ability to present information and respond to questions from owners and guests.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Must be able to sit, stand, and walk for long periods.
    • Must be able to lift, move, set up, and remove tables, equipment, and other items weighing up to 40 pounds.
