Safety Specialist jobs in Louisville, KY

We are looking to hire a part-time Safety Specialist to be based out of the Glasgow, KY area. This is a hybrid position that may require periodic travel to local, regional, and nationwide customer sites.

Qualifications

• Must have excellent public speaking skills (required)
• Must have a degree in Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) OR 3 years of experience in a full-time safety role (required)
• 3 years of conducting training, preferably in OSH-related topics (required)
• GSP designation, ASP certification, and/or CSP certification (preferred)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint) (required)
• Strong working knowledge of OSHA 1910 and 1926 standards (required)
• Must be a U.S. citizen (required)
• Must have a valid U.S. driver's license (required)
• Must be honest, dependable, responsible, and able to be relied upon to fulfill obligations (required)
• Must live within 50 miles of Glasgow, KY (required - NO PER DIEM OR RELOCATION EXPENSES PROVIDED)

Responsibilities

• Conduct various OSH-related training courses at customer sites
• Promote a safe and healthy workplace at all times
• Create and upload training documents to the company server
• Perform OSH-related audits and inspections at customer sites
• Develop and/or review OSH-related written policies and procedures
• Participate in company professional development activities
• Be ethical and maintain the highest level of integrity at all times
• Other responsible duties as required by Arrow Safety and/or customer needs

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week
