Safety Specialist:

Join Reagan Marine Construction as a Safety Specialist! Play a vital role in construction safety for our valued team members. This position offers a dynamic blend of office and field tasks, providing valuable hands-on experience in safety for Heavy Civil and Marine Construction projects. In this position you will support our field crew specifically at the Newport Navy Base, and the company as a whole, providing guidance, on-site technical expertise, and training, to keep our operations safe and in compliance with regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• professionally represent Reagan Marine to client and government regulatory agency personnel
• travel to construction sites primarily in Newport and some additional RI locations as required.
• conduct daily field observations of construction work and document observations
• train and coach field employees on safe work practices
• provide safety related input at morning safety meetings
• compile daily, weekly, and monthly safety reports
• generate safety topics based on field observations and perceived knowledge gaps
• assist site management in completion of incident investigations and required paperwork
• deliver safety related training to groups ranging from 1 person to 20 people
• develop effective working relationships
