We are currently seeking a Fire Suppression Technician with no experience required. This is a growth position where you will learn how to perform the required inspection and testing of fire extinguishers and suppression systems.  The candidate will receive all the necessary training and certifications to independently work.  The position will start in our extinguisher and suppression system re-certification facility and the candidate will assist in working with components of these systems.  In addition, the candidate will help to support our warehouse processes through procuring and receiving goods to support the business.  

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Receiving and checking in suppression system cylinders and portable fire extinguishers.
• Performing maintenance and testing of cylinders and extinguishers. 
• Supporting other warehouse activities including procurement of materials, receiving of material, staging of material.
• Providing delivery or pickup services for material or goods that are needed.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED Required
• Proficient in the use of computers and smart phones, specifically Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, Apple iOS, and Google Android
• Strong verbal and written communications skills required
• Organized, motivated, and able to work with minimum supervision
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record

Compensation: $18 - $22

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is frequently required to stand for 8 hours, walk, sit, and climb stairs, or balance. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The employee will need to be able to withstand working in temperatures that may exceed 100 degrees. The employee will need to have the ability to walk in excess of 1 mile in a day.
